garden mint limeade
Bright, refreshing, and naturally sweetened — this garden mint limeade comes together in minutes and tastes like summer in a glass.
Bright, tart, and just sweet enough — this garden mint limeade is the kind of drink that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the moment.
It comes together in minutes, uses simple ingredients, and tastes like something you'd order at a little café with good light and no rush.
ingredients
- 1 cup fresh lime juice (about 8–10 limes)
- ½–⅔ cup maple syrup, honey, or cane sugar (adjust to taste)
- 5–6 cups cold water (still or sparkling)
- 1 generous handful fresh mint
- Ice
- Thin lime slices for garnish
directions
- Gently muddle the mint with a few tablespoons of the sweetener to release its oils — don't pulverize it. You want the mint to stay bright, not bitter.
- Stir in the fresh lime juice.
- Add the remaining sweetener and water.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve over lots of ice with extra mint and lime slices.
heart • body • spirit tip
Fresh lime juice has a brighter, more complex flavor than bottled juice. If you've got a few extra minutes, squeezing fresh limes is worth it for this recipe.
